Passenger Security Guard

Overview:

Airport Terminal Management (ATM) provides passenger security guards for travelers at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). These services are available to patrons who have a departing or arriving flight at LAX who need a security guard for safe logistics around the airport.

Position Objective:

Protect the traveler as they move around the airport and ensure they are safe from threat using appropriate security and surveillance techniques.

Primary Duties:

• Safely transport passengers throughout the airport
• Follow safety precautions at all times
• Be knowledgeable of the airport and navigating around
• Interact with passengers appropriate to a security guard’s decorum
• Research the client before meeting them as to know of any threats to their safety
• Engage with threats and be knowledgeable of protocol for every situation
• Be compliant with TSA standards and regulations

Requirements:

• Must be proficient in English and able to understand policies, procedures and instructions
• Must have a valid California Guard Registration Card. Guard Card
• Training will be provided free of charge but the actual Card must be paid at own expense
• Must be able to work flexible hours including split shifts
• Able to stay overtime to get the work done in a timely manner
• Drug Screening – Must submit and pass a drug screening test
• Must be able to stand 6 to 8 hours daily
• Must be able to bend and kneel frequently
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be legal to work in the US
• Must pass an extensive background check
