Interline Driver

Overview:

Airport Terminal Management (ATM) provides interline services for airlines at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). These services are available to airlines and assists them in transporting luggage across the airport.

Position Objective:

The Interline Driver position is responsible for transporting luggage across the tarmac safely and securely

Primary Duties:

  • Safely transport luggage throughout the airport
  • Efficiently and safely operate vehicles without losing or mishandling luggage
  • Follow safety precautions at all times
  • Be knowledgeable of the airport and navigating around
  • Lift, carry, and securely handle luggage
  • Be compliant with TSA standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in English
  • Must have a valid driver license issued by the state of California
  • Drug Screening – Must submit for and pass a drug screening test
  • Physical Assessment Test – able to lift, sort, stack and carry bag weighing minimum 75 lbs
  • Must be able to operate heavy machinery safely, effectively and efficiently
  • Must be able to stand 4 to 6 hours daily
  • Able to stay overtime to get the work done in timely prompt manner
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Must be able to bend and kneel frequently
  • Must pass an extensive background check
  • Must be able to legally work in the U.S.A.
